Within a short span of 5 years, PDG has built a portfolio of 20 data center assets with 10 in operation and 10 in development across Asia Pacific in 5 countries and 14 cities. We currently have operations in key Asian markets - Singapore, China, Indonesia, India, and Japan.
We are seeking a Strategic Account Manager to join our growin team. The primary responsibility of this role is to identify, qualify, negotiate and close new opportunities within a defined group of strategic accounts. This will include customer segments such as Cloud Service Providers, Financial Service firms, Telecommunication firms, Content and Media and OTT. This person will collaborate with the regional sales organizations and the Senior Leadership Team members to drive new business across the PDG platform. It is expected that the person in this role will have a significant impact on the business at the platform level.
**Role and Responsibilities**:
- Collaborate with Senior Leadership Team and Regional Sales team members to develop and execute revenue plans within a defined account base
- Engage with relevant communities of interest to facilitate customer acquisition and lead generation
- Identify opportunities to partner with strategic accounts at either the Group or Regional level for Go to Market programs
- Identify and engage new partners that will extend PDG service capabilities and manage associated Go to Market programs
- Develop and maintain account reports for a defined account base and target account list. This will include information like organizational mapping, identifying regional deployments, tracking relevant product/service announcements and understanding how their CSR activities may align or support our activities
- Maintain sales pipeline report
- Ability to support Marketing activities, as required
**Qualifications and Education Requirements**
- Demonstrated success in selling to this customer segment in a datacenter or telecommunications environment. Minimum of 5-10 years of relevant experience
- Bachelor’s Degree is required, advanced studies or degrees are encouraged
- Significant travel will be required, potentially up to 50% or more some periods
**Preferred Skills**
- Ability to work within a start-up environment
- Ability to clearly articulate the PDG value proposition
- Ability to manage complex service contract negotiations
- Proficiency in MS Office toolsets
