**A Day in the Life**
**Strategy and Business Development Manager, Asia Pacific**
**Main Purpose**:

Reporting to the Sr. Director APAC Business Development & Strategy, this person will be responsible for supporting the global/regional merger and acquisition opportunities, post-merger Integration activities, lead strategic operational efficiency projects and look for growth opportunities through business development initiatives for Medtronic in APAC
**Key Accountabilities**:
- Scouts, identifies, investigates, and analyzes possible external partnership opportunities in both MedTech and digital health ecosystem across APAC
- Coordinate and participate in the due diligence process, negotiation, structuring, and closing of global or regional transactions.
- Engage with the cross-functional teams for post-deal integration activities and interface with finance, accounting, Operations, HR, and other departments to ensure seamless integration.
- Lead and initiate projects or work as part of a project team as required, demonstrate excellent business acumen, and strive to meet and exceed agreed financial and strategic objectives
- Manages on-going partnership agreements, investments, and/or alliances as the business representative for the company to extract the most value from the relationship
- Support core strategic projects through ideation and recommendation into the execution phase. Track and report on key strategic projects and achievement of desired metrics
**Skills and Attributes**:
- This role requires an Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong interest in medical device innovation
- Excellent communication and presentation skills to influence senior stakeholders in the organisation.
- Works independently to implement strategic goals and establish operational plans for job area. Assignments are often self-initiated Determines and pursues courses of action necessary to obtain desired results.
**Must Have: Minimum Requirements**
- Bachelors degree required
- Requires a University Degree and minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience
**Nice to Have**
- Bachelor’s Degree or MBA preferred
- Minimum 12 years’ experience in strategic and business development background
- Ideally, will have experience working in healthcare industry
- Consulting background with healthcare ventures
- Excellent communications skills, with exceptional Excel and PowerPoint abilities
- Based in Singapore with 15% travel
