Job Summary
The Partner Manager Manager will develop and expand NetApp wallet share with existing partners, and engage new, partners to increase adoption of NetApp Hybrid Cloud, AI & Analytics and Cloud Services in their solution offerings. The role includes, but is not limited to, the development and execution of a strategy to create joint value propositions.
You will work closely with the Country Sales teams as well as NetApp functional peers to leverage current sales tools and solutions. This role requires strong communication and collaboration skills combined with a sense of urgency to drive revenue generation for the assigned Region and Area.
Essential Functions
- Create the long-term vision and strategic direction for the partnership in conjunction with partner leadership and internal key stakeholders
- Build trusted advisor relationships with partners through a deep understanding of their strategy and business priorities.
- Develop and maintain joint business plan with focus partners, inclusive of enablement, specialization, marketing, and solutions sell initiatives.
- Drive alignment between partner and NetApp’s sales strategy to maximize collective success.
- Provide the sales foundation and credibility associated with recruiting cloud solutions & services oriented partners; and build loyal relationships that produce predictable, recurring revenue streams.
- Support and nurture existing partnerships with NetApp’s key Hyperscalers and Alliances ecosystem partners; ensuring ongoing enablement of our NetApp portfolio and value propositions.
- Driving partner sales revenue through regular pipeline, opportunity registration and business reviews with partners to manage progress against the joint business plan
- Collaborate with partner marketing to deliver effective communication and demand generation campaigns with partners.
Job Requirements
- Excellent verbal and written communications skills; presentation, customer service, business, mediation and negotiation skills.
- Ability to travel within assigned territory, working closely with District Managers, Sales Representatives, functional and partners. Occasional travel outside of region required.
- A strong understanding of the internal and external sales processes
- High energy with the capability to multi-task in a dynamic, rapidly growing organization.
- A thorough understanding of go-to-market strategies including account segmentation, products and various marketing strategies.
- Broad exposure to a variety of technologies/concepts in a distributed environment.
Responsibility & Interactions
**Responsibility**:
- The tasks this individual is responsible for are often unstructured, have wide implications and there are multiple outcomes.
- Demonstrate leadership and vision in determining and driving strategy decisions.
**Interaction**:
- This individual must work effectively across multiple stakeholders within the NetApp’s Worldwide Partner organization and other functional teams, as well as in-country sales leadership, Client Executives, Commercial Sales and Account Managers.
- To be successful, this individual must demonstrate favorable results through leadership and influencing multiple individuals and group
- Often acts as mentor or facilitator.
Education
- A minimum of 12 years of industry experience is preferred.
- A Bachelor of Arts or Sciences Degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science; or related field is required
