**Roles & Responsibilities**
Business Development Managers are highly dynamic and qualified individuals who are hands on with keen interest in the F&B industry. They manage and expand existing businesses and enhance customers’ experience through addressing their needs. They strategize and develop new business channels for the continuous development of the company.
Duties and Responsibilities shall include but are not limited to:
**Leadership and Management**
- Formulate group objectives and operational plans, strategies and budgets to achieve business targets.
- Collaborate closely with R&D team, provide insight on trends and identify potential disruptors.
- Provide guidance to internal sales/account team/managers.
- Maintain regulatory compliance and relations with relevant authorities and agencies.
- Effective project management skills getting business to managing stakeholders.
**Strategic Acumen**
- Able to develop a project pipeline, present its business case, execute, and achieve KPIs.
- Conduct research on new products, services and identify new markets.
- Keep abreast of industry trends, competition, and new opportunities.
- Monitors competitors’ activities and assists in marketing intelligence.
- Builds profile within geographic market place through attendance at various events and geographic market place.
**Engagement with Stakeholders**
- Accountable in managing and developing existing and/or new businesses.
- Responsible to create new businesses, formulate strategic partnerships with stakeholders through proactive engagements.
- Constant prospecting, targeting and identifying potential business opportunities.
- Liaise closely with cross functional departments to achieve business objectives.
- Ensure frequent meetings and business updates are conducted with relevant management, stakeholders and suppliers.
**Requirements**:
- Degree/Diploma in a relevant discipline.
- Minimum 5 years of experience with good writing skills in drafting business proposal.
- Proven track record in project management and competence in sales/business development activities.
- Proven track record in achieving corporate growth targets.
- Able and willing to travel overseas to review distribution, markets and attend exhibitions.
- Provides a total solution base approach to gain market share.
- Possesses strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify trends and opportunities.
- Flair in business development strategies and techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).
- Diligent and self-motivated. Able to work independently or as a team.
- Result-oriented and able to multi-task.
