Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 6 years of experience in direct sales, channel management, marketing, or operations.
- 3 years of management experience in either a sales leadership and/or partner leadership role.
- Experience in foundational cloud technologies (e.g., network, compute, database, middleware, visualization, etc.).

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience managing Partner business working through strategy and execution at the C-Suite level.
- Ability to effectively operate with high energy and flexibility in a fast-paced, dynamic team environment.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills with the able to manage multiple tasks with shifting priorities and varying deadlines.
- Outstanding leadership, executive presence, communication skills, as well as a willingness to collaborate with multi-locational, cross-functional teams internally and externally.
- Growth mindset and open attitude to scale along with our business.

Google Cloud teams work with schools, companies, and government agencies to make them more productive, mobile and collaborative. You will oversee all aspects of the Google Cloud sales process, improving it with your insightful data analysis, troubleshooting, and seamless cross-functional teamwork. Your strategies ensure that companies new to Google products get the highest quality customer support and that the Google Cloud program overall is kept on the cutting edge.

As the Manager of the JAPAC SMB Partnerships team, you'll build our SMB Partner business ecosystem in all of Japan and Asia Pacific. You'll directly manage the SMB Partner Managers and SMB Channel Business Development Managers in the region to ensure delivery of our partner business commitments to the SMB segment. You'll also promote our Partners business through cross-functional teams such as Sales, Programs, Marketing, Support, Product and Enablement to develop and drive the growth of the business of Google Workspace (GWS) and Google Cloud Platform (GCP). You'll also be responsible for recruiting and developing cloud partners.

The SMB Partnerships Team is leading the effort to build the leading Cloud Partner ecosystem for small and medium-sized businesses. We are shaping the future of how technology is used in the workplace. In addition to Sales teams, you will become a trusted business partner to all other cross-functional teams in Google Cloud, including Sales Operations, Marketing, Partner Programs, Sales Development, and others as needed. You will demonstrate your expertise and experience working with products in Software as a Service (SaaS), Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), and Platform as a Service (PaaS).

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage and lead a team of SMB Partner Managers, and manage a new business number across all VAR’s and Systems Integrators in the region.
- Work with Sales teams in the region to properly position partners and their solutions, and help the JAPAC SMB sales teams achieve their business goals for both Google Workspace and Google Cloud Platform.
- Review partner plans in periodic business reviews to monitor progress and establish corrective actions as necessary.
- Help partners grow their practice and product portfolio through joint development of solutions and service. Develop/provide custom presentations on Google’s Cloud Platform technologies to partners.
