**Support to the HR strategic goals**:
- Provides information concerning the SMCs Human Resources issues, as well as resourceful and innovative alternatives and feedback on the effectiveness of the BSM HR policies and systems, thus contributing in the development and improvement of the common HR standards.
- Actively participates in the development, improvement and implementation of the BSM HR processes, procedures and systems, in order to comply and support the realization of BSM’s strategic goals.
**Support to SMC strategic goals**:
- Ensures the compliance of BSM’s HR practices with the local labour legislation and collective labour agreement (if any) and proceeds to the required adjustments, so as to safeguard the legal operation of the company.
- Keeps abreast of the developments in the labour market, legislation, salary ranges and monitors the local competitors’ HR strategies and methods, in order to identify potential implications in HR policies and cost and proposes improvements to HR policies and procedures that will increase the motivation and productivity of employees and enhance the competitiveness of the Company.
**Human Resources Operations Management**:
- Develops the manpower plan and payroll budget of the SMC, focusing on the compliance with the operational needs, while ensures that payroll is calculated according to the actual work time of the employees and the local legislation.
- Diagnoses the training needs, at a local level and ensures the planning and implementation of an annual comprehensive training plan that meets the requirements of individual Departments for all employees. Monitors the accurate execution of the approved training plan and development programmes, in order to enhance the employees’ skills level across the organisation.
- Implements the career development and talent management programs and procedures at a local level, in order to enable the development of skilled employees that meet BSM’s overall manpower plans and increase employees motivation and engagement. Identifies and evaluates external training providers, in order to support the provision of high quality training programs.
- Monitors the accurate and on-time implementation of BSM’s performance management system, providing support to all line managers, so as to enhance the ability to identify and reward high performers and maximise the Return on Human Capital.
**Handling employment relations**
Supports line managers in overcoming issues with their teams, while consults the employees on personal issues, thus assisting in the development of effective teams and enhancing the well-being of the work force.
**Employee Satisfaction Surveys and reports**
Schedules and implements satisfaction surveys, as per BSM’s procedures and guidelines, in order to identify the effectiveness of the HR management. Develops reports of findings and proposes solutions that will increase the quality and efficiency of the HR operation.
**Participation in Audits**
Participates in the execution of external and internal audits, providing all the required information to the auditors, in order to facilitate their accurate and fast execution. Monitors and follows up on the results of the external audits so as to protect company’s interests,
**Facilities Management**:
- Directs the facilities management, maintenance and operations in the SMC, in order to enhance the employee safety and wellbeing, as well as compliance with legislation.
**Management of resources**:
- Develops, submits and upon approval implements the department’s budget, oversees its accurate execution, identifies cost saving opportunities and proposes corrective actions in case of deviations, in order to ensure compliance with set targets.
- Coordinates, coaches and motivates his subordinates, through the appropriate training, development, management of performance and salary progression to ensure that staff have the appropriate knowledge, skills and support that will help them perform effectively and contribute to the achievement of the department’s desired short and long-term objectives.
**Requirements**:
**Education and Qualifications**:
- BSc in Management, HR, Psychology or Sociology
- Post-Graduation in Human Resource Management
**Work Experience**:
- 5 - 7years in a relevantposition within a well-established large organisation
**Job-Specific Skills**:
- Knowledge of the maritime sector
- Very good knowledge of handling HR systems and procedures, e.g. performance management, reward, training, etc.
- Hands-on experience in the employees selection process
- Knowledge of payroll and local labour legislation
- Good negotiation skills
- Very good people management skills.
- Excellent knowledge of the local language
- Fluency in English
- PC literacy
