Asia Pacific Technical Application Executive, Meat & Savory

The Opportunity

The Technical Application Executive is responsible for the development and management of formulation projects to bring customers innovative solutions, and speed to market support for the Food & Nutrition (F&N) market. It is the Technical Application Executive’s responsibility to acquire and maintain a deep understanding of the target market including, but not limited to, market intelligence, trends, needs and opportunities relevant to Azelis’ s existing/new products and services we offer. This is a hands-on lab bench position that requires clear technical thinking, consistent focus on safety, good communication skills, and enthusiastic collaboration. Reporting Line
Application Executive reports to APAC Technical Application Manager.

The role will be based in Singapore. Frequent travel will be part of the job.

Main Accountabilities

Support the Lab set-up for Meat & Savory:

- Independently perform standard and modified lab test procedures for various chemical products and formulations;
- Collaborate in the development of new test procedures;
- Record, interpret, and report lab results in verbal and written form;
- Collaborate with supervisor, colleagues, customers and principals in planning follow-up work;
- Maintain lab equipment in good working order and proper calibration with guidance from supervisor, manufacturer and others.

Design and develop product prototypes aligned with customer-specific technical service projects for F&N market expansion:

- Discover product features and prototype developments to introduce new concepts to clients;
- Technical discussions with business team, principals & clients;
- Deliver on Innovation Key Performance Indicators for Meat & Savory segment.

Support local F&N sales team
- Send samples & follow up on the feedback.
- Resolve customer queries and follow up with customers
- Maintain technical pipeline in system through continuous updates

Qualification & Skills
- Minimum Diploma in Food Technology is required. Higher education qualifications such as Bachelor Degree/Masters are preferred.
- 3 - 4 years of progressive experience as Application Specialist in Meat & Savory products for packaged food industry, and rich experience in lab operations
- Good understanding of manufacturing processes & technologies i.e. Shelf life studies and usage of lab equipment/apparatus
- Basic knowledge of legislation, rules and regulations related to the work activity / area of competence.
- IT literate (MS Office, familiar with ERP - CRM), Project Management
- Fluent English required (both verbal and written communication), other languages a plus.
- Excellent communication, Good listener, curious and with a critical mindset
- Able to quickly establish relationships and liaise with people at all levels, both internally and externally.
