Electrical BIM Specialist Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical BIM Specialist to join our organization. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing installation details, shop drawing layout, and submission lists.
- Preparing installation details, shop drawing layout, and submission lists;
- Designing, creating, and modifying electrical circuits, cable containment routing, and lighting fixtures;
- Generating lighting switch, distribution board families, and component libraries;
- Creating risers, electrical, LAN, and M&E room layouts;
- Attending site coordination meetings with customers/clients;
- Performing clash reports and resolving clashes with Project Engineers/Clients;
- Verifying and validating designs with zero clasher and adequate maintenance space;
- Preparing visualizations and walk-throughs for critical/congested areas;
- Coordinating CSD and Roombook tasks;
- Generating bills of quantity for materials required when necessary;
- Completing any other required tasks from Main Contractors/Consultants/ Clients.
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- A diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering;
- Knowledge of Autodesk REVIT and AutoCAD;
- The ability to read and visualize electrical systems and equipment drawings;
- The ability to create and modify electrical circuits based on specifications;
- The ability to create and modify cable containment routing based on specifications and location;
- The ability to generate 2D and 3D electrical views from BIM models;
- The ability to set up configurations for electrical model files.
