The Digital Transformation, Innovation & Data Division (DTID) is the business transformation office to drive A*STAR towards a digitally enabled and data-driven organisation.
The office is responsible to define the digital vision, formulate digital strategies and develop the digital roadmap to frame and provide directions towards our digitalization efforts.
DTID acts as the catalyst in driving digital transformation and is the bridge between business owners and technology supports.
As the central office, DTID performs the role as the horizontal integrator to synergise and harmonise digital efforts and drive complex and cross-cutting digital initiatives for A*STAR.
Beyond business-technology, the roles of DTID also entails the raising of digitally skilled and creative workforce to empower our workforce to harness digital technology and embrace business transformation.
To support digitalization efforts, the office is also responsible to set digital/data policies and put in place governance and standards.
Job Responsibilities Develop and maintain the data policies, procedures and guidelines to incorporate the best practices in data governance, data security and data quality for A*STAR corporate data.
Work closely with A*STAR IT on the required enterprise tools needed for compliance of data policies.
Conduct awareness activities to educate staff on the understanding of the data policies and data best practices.
Conduct briefing sessions and provide resources to guide users on data classification and IM8, where appropriate.
Support System Owners and System Managers on the conduct of Data Security Risk Assessment (DSRA) for new enterprise systems.
Act as the incident manager to coordinate across various parties in the event of corporate data-related incidents.
Work closely with Group Data Protection Officer (GDPO) on Personal Data-related incidents.
Job Requirements Degree in computer science, information technology, business computing, business analytics, software/computer engineering or related disciplines.
At least 5 years of relevant working experience in a similar role with knowledge of data management and governance policies development and implementation.
Process oriented with strong documentation skills.
Excellent engagement and inter-personal skills to build and maintain strong and effective relationships with stakeholders on data matters.
Excellent communications in both written and spoken language, as well as good presentation skills.
Possess good analytical, logical and ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge in industry best practices and framework for data management such as DMBOK and DCAM will be an added advantage.
