Our Client: An excellent opportunity to join our client who is a global MNC in the telecommunication space. They have exciting growth plans and are currently looking to hire a HR Compliance Specialist, APAC (New role) to be part of their HR Team in Singapore. The Responsibilities: Design, implement, and oversee the HR compliance governance framework, acting as the primary contact for compliance assessments, audits, and reporting. Collaborate with leadership, HR, legal teams, and external counsel to develop, implement, and communicate effective policies and procedures. Assess and enhance compliance-related programs, including background checks, HR policies, mandated government training, and annual handbook reviews. Coordinate responses to internal and external reporting requirements, participate in audits and assessments, and ensure strict adherence to employment laws, regulations, and organizational policies. Provide expert guidance to Talent Acquisition and HR Business Partners on compliance matters, offering consultative support for policy interpretation and application. Continuously evaluate and improve HR compliance processes and policies, proactively implementing practical and innovative solutions. Utilize data-driven insights and advanced technologies to optimize workflows, enhance efficiency, and simplify compliance operations. Lead policy reviews during mergers and acquisitions, harmonizing policies and processes as needed, and collaborate with internal teams on communication, training, and change management efforts. Stay informed on evolving employment laws and regulations, ensuring all mandatory employee postings and notices are up to date and accessible. Develop and deliver comprehensive training programs on HR policies, procedures, and compliance initiatives, ensuring effective knowledge transfer. Monitor compliance with required training and the distribution and acknowledgment of key policies. Manage relationships with compliance service vendors, overseeing communication, proposal evaluations, program changes, and performance reviews, escalating issues to leadership when necessary. Perform additional responsibilities as required to support organizational objectives. Other Information: 5 days work week with Hybrid work arrangements. Office location in the East regions with direct & convenient access to MRTs and Buses. Works in a supportive team where they value transparency, collaboration, and teamwork. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or equivalent experience. Minimum of 4 years of HR experience, with expertise in policy and process development and HR compliance. Solid grasp of HR Operations, including benefits, compensation, payroll, HRIS, and compliance. General understanding of HR processes and employment laws; international law knowledge is a plus. Strong analytical, problem-solving, and detail-oriented skills with the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting. Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills, with the ability to build relationships across all organizational levels. High proficiency in confidentiality and collaboration.
