The Manager, HR Operations will play a pivotal role in overseeing and enhancing HR operations across the APAC region. Reporting to the HR Director, APAC, this position will be responsible for driving HRIS implementation and administration, payroll management, and drafting employee handbooks and policies across all APAC locations. The role will also be responsible for creating standard procedures for the HR department as well as running the annual HR calendar. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, strategic thinking, and the ability to collaborate effectively across various functions and geographies.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
HRIS Implementation and Administration:Lead the implementation of the HRIS systems across APAC, ensuring alignment with global standards and regional requirements.
Collaborate with IT and HR teams to configure, customize, and optimize HRIS platforms to streamline processes and enhance user experience.
Provide training and support to HR teams and end-users on HRIS functionalities, ensuring smooth adoption and utilization.Payroll Management:Oversee payroll operations for all APAC locations, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with local regulations and company policies.
Coordinate with finance, HR, and external vendors to process payroll, resolve discrepancies, and implement improvements to payroll processes.
Stay updated on relevant payroll laws and regulations across APAC countries, ensuring compliance and mitigating risks.Employee Handbook and Policy Administration:Manage the development, review, and dissemination of employee handbooks, policies, and procedures for APAC, ensuring alignment with local laws and company values.
Work closely with legal and compliance teams to ensure policies are up-to-date and compliant with regulatory requirements.
Provide guidance and support to HR teams and employees on policy interpretation and implementation.Compliance and Risk Management:Monitor regulatory changes and industry trends related to HRIS, payroll, and employment laws across APAC countries, proactively addressing compliance risks.
Conduct audits and assessments to ensure data accuracy, security, and confidentiality in HR systems and processes.
Implement controls and measures to mitigate risks related to data privacy, security breaches, and regulatory non-compliance.Stakeholder Management and Collaboration:Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders, including HR business partners, finance, IT, legal, global HR, and external vendors.
Collaborate with global HR teams to share best practices, leverage synergies, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
Serve as a trusted advisor to regional and local leadership on HR operations matters, providing insights and recommendations to support business objectives.About You
Summary of Education and Experience:Preferred Education: Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience: Over 5 years in HR operations, focusing on HRIS implementation, payroll management, and policy administration in the APAC region.
HRIS Knowledge: Proficient in platforms like Workday, SAP Success Factors, and Oracle HCM, with hands-on implementation and configuration experience.
Employment Laws: Deep understanding of APAC employment laws and regulations, with the ability to apply them in a multinational context.
Project Management: Strong skills in leading cross-functional projects, managing stakeholders, and delivering results within deadlines and budgets.
Analytical Skills: Proficient in data analysis and reporting for informed decision-making and process improvement.
Communication: Effective at influencing and collaborating with diverse stakeholders.
Leadership: Proven ability to lead and develop HR teams across multiple locations.Knowledge and Skills Required:HRIS Implementation and Administration:Proficient in HRIS platforms (e.g., Workday, SAP Success Factors) with system implementation experience.
Trained in HRIS configuration, customization, and user training.Payroll Management:Expertise in payroll processes, tax regulations, and compliance across APAC countries.
Trained in payroll software/systems and international payroll practices.Employment Laws and Compliance:In-depth understanding of APAC labor laws and compliance requirements.
Trained in global HR compliance, data privacy, and regulatory affairs.Project Management and Process Improvement:Certified in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile).
