Change Communications Manager

The Change Communications Manager will be responsible for creating and implementing effective change communication programs across various initiatives in the Student and Academic Services Department (SASD) and other relevant areas within Nanyang Technological University (NTU).

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement targeted change communication plans for NTU staff and students related to key student initiatives, such as the enhancement of the student intranet.
  • Design and execute content to provide consistent, impactful change communication messages.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders on presentations, communication materials, and other matters related to change communication.
  • Build and maintain partnerships with internal NTU stakeholders to develop, coordinate, direct, and facilitate strategic change management and communications aligned with business goals.
  • Design campaigns targeting specific audiences, emphasizing discipline and performance to inform recommendations for future programs.
  • Lead website content for the student intranet related to the Student Management System (SMS) and SASD matters, including NTU Education.
  • Contribute innovative ideas for new programs, researching and recommending branding techniques.
  • Research and understand key business challenges, stakeholder behavior, target audiences, competitive activity impacting programs within the business and assigned departments.
  • Identify and present opportunities for consistency in messaging and user experience across channels, including physical signage, digital platforms, and printed materials.
  • Stay informed of developments in marketing and communications within the education industry to foster ideas and innovation.
  • Design and deliver differentiated communication messages for stakeholder groups identified for the Target Operating Model (for student and academic services).
Ideal Candidate Profile:
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in strategic communication, project communication, or equivalent in a large organization.
  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in change management, with the ability to effectively communicate and facilitate organizational change initiatives.
  • Strong copywriting skills to create engaging and impactful content across various channels.
  • A proactive approach in resolving problems and issues as they arise.
  • Critical thinking abilities coupled with excellence in crafting clear and concise messaging.
  • Good organizational, planning, and coordination skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
  • The ability to multitask and re-prioritize as needed.
  • A desire to take full ownership of assigned projects and work independently.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.
  • A sense of urgency; self-motivation, and meticulous attention to detail.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships.
  • Good verbal presentation and written skills, group dynamic, and facilitation skills for engaging communication.
  • A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and web content management systems experience.
  • A drive to achieve goals and deliver high-quality outcomes with a focus on measurable results.
  • Eagerness to seek out new knowledge, skills, and experiences to enhance professional growth and development.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
  • Willingness to embrace change and adjust to evolving priorities or circumstances.
