Internal Communications Manager

Role Summary
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Change Communications Manager to join our team at NTU. As a key member of the Student and Academic Services Department (SASD), you will play a critical role in creating and implementing effective change communication programmes for key initiatives within the department and other relevant projects at NTU.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement targeted change communication plans to engage NTU staff and students on key student-related initiatives and other relevant projects like the enhancement of the student intranet.
- Collaborate with stakeholders on change communication matters such as presentations, communication materials, and other related tasks.
- Build partnerships with internal NTU stakeholders to develop, coordinate, direct, and facilitate strategic change management and communications that meet business goals.
- Design campaigns to target specific audiences with an emphasis on campaign performance to inform future programme recommendations.
- Lead website content creation for the student intranet related to the Student Management System (SMS) and SASD matters including NTU Education.
- Contribute ideas for new programmes, researching and recommending innovative branding techniques.
- Research and understand key business challenges, stakeholder behaviour, target audiences, competitive activity impacting programmes within the business and assigned departments.
- Identify and present opportunities for consistency in messaging and user experience across channels including physical signage, digital platforms, and printed materials.
- Stay informed of marketing and communications developments in the education industry to foster innovation.
- Design differentiated communication messages for stakeholder groups identified for the Target Operating Model (for student and academic services).
Requirements:
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in strategic communication, project communication, or equivalent in a large organisation.
- A minimum of 8 years' experience in change management with the ability to effectively communicate and facilitate organisational change initiatives.
- Strong, versatile copywriting skills to create engaging and impactful content across various channels.
- A proactive approach in resolving problems and issues as they arise.
- Critical thinking abilities coupled with excellence in crafting clear and concise messaging.
- Good organisational, planning, and coordination skills to manage multiple projects effectively.
- The ability to multi-task and re-prioritise as needed.
- A desire to take full ownership of assigned projects and work independently.
- The ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously ensuring deadlines and objectives are met.
- A sense of urgency; self-motivation, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build collaborative relationships.
- Good verbal presentation and written skills, group dynamic, and facilitation skills for engaging communication.
- A working knowledge of Microsoft Office and web content management systems experience.
- Driven to achieve goals and deliver high-quality outcomes with a focus on measurable results.
- Eagerness to seek out new knowledge, skills, and experiences to enhance professional growth and development.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with colleagues and contribute to a positive team dynamic.
