What the role is:
As an Assistant Director in the National Mental Health Office, you will play a critical role to support the development of strategies and services and promotion of social-health integration in mental health and dementia care. You will engage with and form partnerships with a diverse group of clinical and professional stakeholders and advocates to support research, conceptualisation and development of future care models and system designs. You will be working in a fast-paced and dynamic environment that requires the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders at the same time.
What you will be working on:
You will lead a team to implement the National Mental Health and Well-being Strategy in, but not limited to the following areas:Review and develop care models, monitor implementation and progress, and manage funding of hospital-based youth mental health services and programmes.
Develop and manage psychiatric ILTC and associated programmes and services for youths.What we are looking for:
Relevant qualifications in healthcare, public health or related field, preferably psychology or allied health or life science.
Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience in healthcare and public policy development.
Strong project management, implementation and budget planning skills (supervisory position) is preferred.
Strong understanding of health and social care sectors.
Ability to lead and manage a team and think strategically.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse qualitative and quantitative data, and develop evidence-based recommendations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Need to be able to work independently as well as in a team, and in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
