The role of a QHSE leader involves overseeing the implementation and maintenance of quality, health, safety, and environmental standards across regional operations. ">

  • Key responsibilities include managing and upholding ISO 14001, ISO 9001, and ISO 45001 standards, as well as overseeing quality, health, safety, and environmental initiatives and regulatory compliance across multiple sites.
  • Leadership in workplace safety programs, fire prevention measures, and emergency preparedness is also crucial, as is supporting building, facilities, and equipment maintenance to ensure compliance and minimize risk.
  • Conducting internal audits, managing non-conformances, and driving continuous improvement initiatives are key aspects of this role.
  • Liaising with regulatory bodies, stakeholders, and external partners on QHSE matters is essential, as is promoting environmental responsibility and ensuring alignment with local environmental regulations.
  • Fostering a strong safety culture and providing training, guidance, and oversight to internal teams is vital.
  • Ensuring the station's compliance with all applicable company global processes, standards, and procedures is also critical.
  • Leading and coordinating incident investigations, ensuring timely reporting, root cause analysis, and implementation of corrective and preventive actions is a key responsibility.

Qualifications

  • A minimum of 8 years of experience in QHSE roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or regional leadership position is required.
  • Deep understanding of ISO standards and local regulatory compliance is necessary.
  • Possessing relevant QHSE-related certifications such as NEBOSH, ISO, LeadAuditor, WSQ Advanced Certificate in Workplace Safety and Health (or equivalent) is desirable.
  • Strong audit and incident investigation experience is essential.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence senior stakeholders and lead cross-functional teams is crucial.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills are required.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Singapore (Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM), with frequent travel to Malaysia is necessary.
