Program Manager, Environmental Health and Safety

**Minimum qualifications**:

- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in environmental, health and safety field.
- Experience in developing, implementing, and managing EHS programs for multiple facilities at regional or global level.
- Experience with EHS domain and regulatory landscape.

**Preferred qualifications**:

- Credentials from Board of Certified Safety Professionals, American Board of Industrial Hygiene, NEBOSH or equivalent agencies.
- Experience in Technical environmental compliance, industrial hygiene, electrical safety, and EHS management system.
- Experience in managing EHS issues at technical infrastructure/data center operations.
- Experience in leading large cross-functional teams to align and deliver technical projects.
- Outstanding collaboration, project management, and communication skills (written and verbal).
- Ability to communicate in English and Chinese fluently in order to effectively communicate with representatives from external stakeholders in-market.

The Global Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Operations team at Google is dedicated to providing a reliable, scalable, and effective EHS service that empowers all stakeholders to achieve and influence leaders to establish a healthy work environment, and ensure that Google infrastructure complies with all applicable health, safety, and environmental requirements. The team is committed to protecting the physical, emotional, and mental health of teams through proactive and engaging safety programs and services, including Environmental Regulatory Compliance and Technical Due Diligence, Occupational Safety Regulatory Compliance, Occupational Health Regulatory Compliance, Contractor Management and EHS Performance Management, Incident Investigations, Design for Safety, Product Safety, New Product Introductions, and Consensus Standards, and Assurance.

The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are a diverse, upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers.

**Responsibilities**:

- Manage the Environmental, Health, and Safety compliance and operation for a portfolio of third-party technical infrastructure sites.
- Develop strategic plans aligned with Google business vision and goals. proactively identify, organize, and lead program activities and stakeholders to deliver successful business, operational, and technical improvements within the EHS domain.
- Perform environmental and safety compliance assessments at technical infrastructure facilities during construction, fit-out, and operation phases, and implement follow-up corrective actions to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure alignment of senior cross-functional and cross-organizational stakeholders through effective communication and collaboration.
- Manage EHS operation and resources effectively.
