Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety Specialist

Are you a dedicated professional seeking a challenging role in environmental and occupational health & safety?

  • We are currently looking for an Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety Specialist to join our team.
  • As an Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and implementing effective health and safety management systems.
Job Description:

This role is crucial in driving business performance while upholding the highest standards of environmental and occupational health & safety.

The successful candidate will have expertise in HSSE policies, procedures, and regulations, as well as experience in auditing and training. They will be part of the HSSE department, supporting Business CEO in assuring HSSE performance through effective management systems and robust surveillance programs.

Responsibilities:
  1. Promulgate Sembcorp Group's HSSE policy and standards.
  2. Implement and maintain HSSE Management System, procedures, and guidelines.
  3. Develop and execute HSSE program and trainings.
  4. Advise Management on all HSSE related matters.
  5. Conduct HSSE compliance checks and audit programs at subsidiaries and JVs' project/property sites.
  6. Provide coaching and guidance to operation teams and HSSE representatives on the implementation of HSSE initiatives.
  7. Review procedures and standards of subsidiaries and JVs and align with Sembcorp Group's standards.
  8. Stay updated on relevant HSSE laws, regulations, and policies.
  9. Collate and analyze HSSE performance and trends and provide regular reporting.
  10. Support investigation of incidents/accidents.
  11. Ensure alignment to Sembcorp Group's Business Continuity Management Policy and Crisis Management framework.
Requirements:
  1. Degree in Environmental and Occupational Health & Safety or equivalent.
  2. Registered WSH Officer with MOM.
  3. Possess experience in HSSE audits.
  4. Minimum 6 years of experience in building construction projects.
  5. Regional HSSE experiences will be preferred.
  6. Familiar with Vietnam operations will be advantageous.
  7. Possess good organizational and interpersonal skills.
  8. Able to work independently with minimal supervision.
  9. Creative thinker in identifying innovative approaches to solve problems.
  10. Traveling overseas is required.
