Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Professional
Job Description:We are seeking a seasoned Environmental Health and Safety Specialist to spearhead our environmental management systems. The ideal candidate will be responsible for implementing, monitoring, and ensuring compliance with occupational health and environmental regulations.
Main Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute comprehensive environmental management plans, incorporating vector control and Earth Control Measures (ECM)
- Maintain regulatory compliance across all aspects of environmental health and safety
- Conduct thorough risk assessments to identify potential environmental hazards and develop mitigation strategies
- Supervise the implementation of ECM facilities and equipment, adhering to Qualified Erosion Control Professional (QECP) designs and PUB requirements
- Perform regular site inspections to guarantee effective operation and safety of ECM facilities and equipment
- Ensure all site facilities and sanitary provisions are properly maintained to prevent environmental health risks
- Collaborate with the Project Manager to address feedback on environmental health irregularities and coordinate remedial actions
- Analyze WSH performance metrics, present findings at WSH Committee meetings, and implement corrective actions as needed
- Organize and facilitate training programs, campaigns, and awareness initiatives to promote high environmental health standards
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or relevant field
- Proven experience in full-time site supervision and accreditation with IES
- Excellent communication and coordination skills
- Desirable: prior experience in environmental health and safety management
