Job Title: Environmental Health and Safety Specialist

Employers seeking an experienced Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist will find this role a great fit for their team. As an EHS Specialist, you will be responsible for promoting a safe and compliant work environment.

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Engineering, Chemistry, Environmental Science or a related field, with at least 3 years of relevant EHS experience. A valid WSQ certification is also preferred.

Responsibilities:

  • Vendor & Supplier Coordination: Request quotations, verify specifications, schedule deliveries/services, and resolve operational issues.
  • EHS Data Collection & Analysis: Gather and interpret data from stakeholders and collaborate on improvement plans.
  • Safety Culture Promotion: Conduct inspections, deliver safety training, support risk assessments, organize awareness programs, and onboard new employees.
  • Regulatory Compliance: Arrange external testing/training, support audits, maintain legal documentation, and track changes in regulations.
  • Contractor Safety Management: Review safety documentation, lead inductions, enforce site safety protocols, and coordinate contractor activities.
  • Process Safety Enhancements: Analyze process workflows, identify safety risks, suggest improvements, and review operational procedures.
