Reporting to: Regional Trade Director / Country Head
Experience: Minimum 5 years in container shipping, ideally in
Trade
Key Responsibilities:
Formulate and implement Transpacific trade strategies (USWC, USEC, Canada)
Monitor trade performance (volume, yield, space allocation) and adjust pricing as needed
Manage carrier relations, slot agreements, and sailing schedules
Analyze market trends and provide weekly/monthly trade performance reports
Coordinate with sales, operations, and overseas agents for cargo flow optimization
Lead trade promotions and customer targeting campaigns
Prepare and present business cases for new services or adjustments
Requirements:
At least 5 years of experience in shipping, preferably with a carrier or NVOCC in TP trade
Strong understanding of US FMC regulations, containerized trade dynamics, and yield management
Proven negotiation and commercial skills
Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; Power BI is a plus
Strong communication and leadership ability
Good command of English & Chinese (spoken and written) ; additional regional languages are a plus
Able to travel occasionally
