Maximizing Revenue in Transpacific Trade

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled professional to join our team as an Assistant Manager, Trade. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of pricing strategies and be able to analyze market trends to determine optimal pricing.

The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing pricing strategies to maximize revenue and profitability, understanding the pricing process across various stakeholders, and analyzing market trends to determine optimal pricing. They will also work with overseas agents, manage daily pricing activities, and resolve operational issues from a commercial perspective.

In addition, the successful candidate will monitor service performance, analyze vessel profiles to improve cargo mix, support feasibility service studies, and actively participate in business development initiatives. They will also maintain pricing data, gather market information, and perform other ad-hoc duties and projects as assigned by management.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Maritime, Business, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.
  • A minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics industry.
  • A minimum of 5 years of pricing experience in TransPacific trade with understanding of FMC, service contracts, and US geography.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data to make pricing decisions.
  • Good market knowledge and strong communication skills to interact with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Motivated and proactive team player with ability to work independently and collaborate with other departments.
