We are seeking a Partnerships Lead, Payment Supply and Network to spearhead our expansion efforts in Asia and Africa by identifying, engaging, and onboarding local payment partners. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the payments ecosystem, strong negotiation skills, and a proven track record of building strategic partnerships. This role is based in Singapore, reporting directly to the General Manager and will require close collaboration with internal teams and external stakeholders to drive growth and innovation.
Key Responsibilities
Identify & Develop Partnerships:
Research and identify potential payment service providers (PSPs), acquirers, gateways, and alternative payment methods across Asia and Africa.
Engagement & Negotiation:
Initiate and build relationships with key payment partners, negotiating commercial agreements and ensuring strategic alignment with Hello Clever’s objectives.
Onboarding & Integration:
Oversee the end-to-end onboarding process, collaborating with internal teams to integrate partners efficiently.
Market Research & Analysis:
Stay updated on regional payment trends, regulations, and competitive landscapes to identify new opportunities.
Strategic Growth:
Work closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to optimise partner relationships and expand Hello Clever’s payment network.
Performance Monitoring:
Track and analyse partner performance, ensuring compliance and optimising revenue generation.
Collaboration & Advocacy:
Represent Hello Clever at industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities to strengthen brand presence.
Key Qualifications
5+ years of experience in partnerships, business development, or payments within fintech, banking, or e-commerce.
Strong network and understanding of the payments ecosystem in Asia and Africa.
Demonstrated success in negotiating and managing strategic partnerships.
Experience working with payment service providers, alternative payment methods, and acquirers.
Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
Ability to work independently and drive projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance in payments.
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field.
