Museum Education Officer Job Description

Job Role:

The Museum Education Officer will be responsible for planning and coordinating engaging educational experiences for group visits, developing educational resources and digital content to support learning, and promoting initiatives through outreach and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement curriculum-aligned programs and events for schools, community groups, and the public.
  • Collaborate with educators and curators to create innovative and interactive educational content.
  • Promote exhibitions and programs through various channels, including social media, email marketing, and press releases.
  • Monitor and analyze feedback from participants to improve programs and services.
  • Support docent training and management to ensure a high-quality visitor experience.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Arts Management, History, or related field.
  • Strong project management and organization skills, with ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
  • Able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, to accommodate program needs.
