We are seeking a highly skilled Kitchen Team Lead to drive culinary excellence in our kitchen operations. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading junior staff, overseeing daily kitchen activities, and maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook a variety of Japanese dishes including sushi, donburi, tempura, and grilled specialties.
  • Oversee daily kitchen operations to ensure smooth service flow and meet customer expectations.
  • Lead and mentor junior staff on prep, cooking, and plating techniques to enhance their skills and confidence.
  • Step in for the Sous Chef or Head Chef when needed to maintain seamless kitchen operations.
  • Maintain high standards of hygiene, safety, and consistency during service to ensure a positive dining experience.
  • Assist with inventory checks and ingredient ordering to keep the kitchen well-stocked and efficient.

Requirements:

  • At least 2 years of hands-on kitchen experience preferably in Japanese cuisine.
  • Strong knife skills and a good eye for presentation to create visually appealing dishes.
  • Ability to stay calm and reliable under pressure to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • A team-oriented mindset and a commitment to cleanliness and quality to drive culinary excellence.
  • Flexibility to work 5 days a week on rotating shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
