Mechanical and Electrical Works Project Coordinator

Job Overview
">- The position of M and E Coordinator is crucial for the success of our projects. As an M and E Coordinator, you will be responsible for ensuring that all mechanical and electrical works are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
">- Prepare M&E works schedules based on project master schedules
- Monitor shop drawings and material submissions
- Verify that M&E drawings comply with authorities' requirements
- Highlight discrepancies and conflicts with architectural and structural elements
- Prepare progress reports
- Coordinate between sub-contractors and project teams to ensure smooth delivery of work, including resolution of design and construction issues
- Monitor installation work as per coordinated plans
- Conduct inspections and testing of building works and document inspection records upon verification by RE/RTO
- Follow up on necessary rectification work and other follow-up tasks
Required Skills and Qualifications
">- Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or Specialist Diploma in M&E Coordination would be an advantage
- Minimum 5 years of experience as an M&E Coordinator in a local construction firm
- Good knowledge of local standards and requirements
- Ability to work independently with a positive attitude
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
