Job Summary

Citi is seeking a highly skilled Applications Support Senior Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our technology group, you will be responsible for providing technical and business support for users of Citi Applications.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide technical and business support for users of Citi Applications, including resolving app issues and driving stability, efficiency, and effectiveness improvements.
  • Manage and maintain application systems, focusing on stability, quality, and functionality against service level expectations.
  • Perform same day risk reconciliations and ensure that storage and archiving procedures are in place and functioning correctly.
  • Develop and maintain technical support documentation and identify ways to maximize the potential of the applications used.
  • Assess risk and impact of production issues and escalate to business and technology management in a timely manner.
  • Partner with development and production support areas to prioritize bug fixes and support tooling requirements.
  • Participate in application releases, from development, testing, and deployment into production.
  • Engage in post-implementation analysis to ensure successful system design and functionality.
  • Act as a liaison between users/traders, interfacing internal technology groups and vendors.
  • Provide evaluative judgment based on analysis of factual information in complicated and unique situations.
  • Directly impact the business by ensuring the quality of work provided by self and others.
Requirements
  • 5-8 years of experience in an Application Support role.
  • Experience installing, configuring, or supporting business applications.
  • Experience with some programming languages and willingness/ability to learn.
  • Advanced execution capabilities and ability to adjust quickly to changes and re-prioritization.
  • Effective written and verbal communications, including ability to explain technical issues in simple terms.
  • Demonstrated analytical skills and issue tracking and reporting using tools.
  • Knowledge/experience of problem management tools and good all-around technical skills/background.
  • Ability to plan and organize workload and consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with some of the below technologies is required:
    • UNIX (AIX/Linux) environment
    • Databases - Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server
    • Scripting languages - Python, Shell, Java/javascript, Perl
    • ITRS/AppDynamic related monitoring/observability tools
    • Knowledge of Autosys and ITIL
Education
  • Bachelor's/University degree or equivalent experience
