
Wok Culinary Specialist

The Wok Chef is responsible for managing the wok department, mastering all kitchen techniques, and guiding line cooks to improve cooking skills.
Key responsibilities include ordering ingredients, inspecting and accepting deliveries, preparing raw ingredients, and coordinating with the Restaurant Manager to check inventories and food costs.
- Manage the wok department's work flow and ensure high-quality standards are met.
- Guide and teach line cooks to improve cooking techniques.
- Work closely with other department heads during service.
- Order and inspect ingredients, ensuring quality and freshness.
- Prepare and process raw ingredients, cooked food, and cold dishes.
- Responsible for the storage and use of cooking ingredients in storage spaces and refrigerators.
- Coordinate with the Restaurant Manager to check inventories and food costs.
To succeed as a Wok Chef, you must have:
- At least 5 years of experience in traditional Cantonese/Teochew cuisine.
- A high-quality standard orientation, able to satisfy local and international traveler guests.
- Excellent communication and team-work skills.
- Good attitude, proactive, and reliable.
- Passionate about cooking and willing to take constructive criticism.
