
Hotel Revenue Strategist

Maximizes hotel revenue and profits by allocating inventory effectively.
Responsibilities include building rates, packages and sales strategy information in hotel inventory systems. The position makes pricing recommendations for hotels and conducts analysis of revenue, profit and demand associated with rooms and space inventory.
CANDIDATE PROFILE
Qualifications include a degree in a relevant business discipline or equivalent work experience.
CORE WORK ACTIVITIES
1. Manages room authorizations, rates and restrictions to ensure optimal revenue potential.
2. Manages function space authorizations, restrictions and rental to maximize revenue from events.
3. Maintains transient rooms inventory and ensures maximum transient revenue.
4. Releases group rooms back into general inventory to maintain availability and maximize revenue.
5. Ensures sales strategies are implemented in reservation and inventory systems.
6. Prepares critiques of sales strategies to inform future decisions.
7. Monitors daily inventory to ensure straight-line availability and revenue maximization.
8. Communicates and implements sales strategies and rate restrictions as market conditions change.
9. Supports cluster selling initiatives by working with reservation centers.
10. Uses reservations systems and demand forecasting to determine and control selling strategies.
11. Maximizes revenue and profits using property diagnostic processes (PDP).
12. Initiates and evaluates revenue tests to optimize pricing and promotions.
13. Ensures compliance with company policies and participation in eCommerce channels.
14. Maintains brand strategies to increase revenue per available room (RevPAR) and square foot (RevPAS).
15. Understands the relationship between sales, reservations and property management systems.
16. Participates in regional reviews to share best practices and knowledge.
17. Protects and promotes brand equity.
18. Achieves and exceeds performance goals, budget goals, and team goals.
19. Attends meetings to plan, organize, prioritize, coordinate and manage activities and solutions.
20. Establishes long-range objectives and specifies strategies to achieve them.
21. Demonstrates knowledge of job-relevant issues, products, systems and processes.
22. Meets the needs of key stakeholders, including owners, corporate, guests and other external partners.
