Job Description

Retail Operations

The Retail Operations Manager is responsible for leading and implementing operational procedures, systems, and business processes for RazerStore globally. This includes:

  • Identifying, leading, and overseeing the execution of all operations process and system activities.
  • Developing and implementing operational strategies and standard operational procedures (SOPs) to enhance efficiency, maximize profit, and ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Reviewing metrics and reporting for all stores and ensuring corrective action to remedy issues and deficiencies.
  • Creating audit procedures, enforcing proper tracking, and reporting activities.
  • Standardizing operation policies and SOP globally.
  • Ensuring company retail software systems are properly used and evaluating new tools.

Inventory Management & Control

The Retail Operations Manager collaborates with logistic, order management, and finance teams to streamline processes and improve internal SOPs about inventory receiving, transfers, returns, and RMA. This includes:

  • Monitoring inventory levels and implementing effective inventory control measures.
  • Implementing end-to-end inventory tracking systems to ensure inventory accuracy.
  • Reinforcing store BOH management procedures to facilitate inventory control.
  • Conducting regular stock audits, cycle counts, and reconciliations to maintain inventory records.
  • Collaborating with store managers and sales merchandising teams to address inventory-related challenges.
  • Partnering with regional retail teams to improve inventory management metrics by strengthening control procedures.
  • Supporting the logistic, merchandising, and order management teams as needed.

Store Performance

The Retail Operations Manager ensures our stores are clean, organized, and well-maintained by developing tools to ensure the best FOH management. This includes:

  • Partnering with sales and retail teams to set specific standards of performance for each team.
  • Monitoring performance related to staffing and scheduling and identifying areas of improvement.
  • With the support of the sales team, developing training programs to continuously empower our store employees on compliance standards and customer service best practices.
  • Fostering teamwork, collaboration, and strong work ethics among the store employees, encouraging a customer-centric approach.
  • Working with key cross-functional business partners within marketing, sales, and human resources to ensure retail needs are being supported and are meeting the brand standards.

IT/System/Finance

The Retail Operations Manager reviews internal processes to ensure robust cash handling procedures. This includes:

  • Reviewing internal processes to ensure robust cash handling procedures.
  • Ensuring accurate cash register reconciliation and collaborating with the Finance team to maintain store financial records.
  • Collaborating with finance and accounting teams to prepare store financial reports and budgets.
  • Partnering with IT teams to oversee the implementation and optimization of technology systems to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Managing vendor relationships to ensure business continuity and maximize efficiency.

Compliance and Regulatory

The Retail Operations Manager ensures RazerStore maintains a safe and secure environment for store employees and customers globally. This includes:

  • Partnering with local HR and legal teams to implement regional policies and protocols.
  • Staying updated with local regulations, ensuring full compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Implementing risk management strategies.
  • Partnering with local retail teams to conduct regular compliance audits and inspections to identify any areas of non-compliance promptly.
  • Ensuring the audits are performed regularly at each store and that each store manager is accountable for the results.
  • Serving as the primary point of contact for legal and compliance professionals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will have:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, finance, operations management, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
  • At least 8 years of relevant experience in this field.
  • Proven expertise in retail operations management and project planning.
  • Extremely detail-oriented and organized with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent personal and communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with proficiency in data analysis tools.
  • Managerial experience in flagship store or multiple stores or countries operations is required.
  • Experience building retail operating standards and scaling processes to meet the needs of the brand.
  • Ability to travel across our regional markets on a regular basis to support the needs of a growing retail organization.
