Pulp and Paper Industry Risk Management Expert

Marsh is seeking a talented individual to join our specialized risk management team, focusing on evaluating and mitigating risks associated with pulp and paper mill operations. This role will be based within Asia.

The Pulp and Paper Insurance Engineer works closely with underwriters, plant operators, and maintenance personnel to develop insurance strategies and ensure industry standards compliance.

  1. Conduct thorough risk evaluations of pulp and paper mills, with a focus on high-risk exposures such as smelt/water explosions and equipment breakdowns.
  2. Develop and implement tailored insurance strategies considering the complexities of pulp and paper mill equipment.
  3. Perform regular on-site inspections to assess equipment conditions, maintenance practices, and compliance with industry standards.
  4. Evaluate business interruption risks and develop contingency plans to mitigate potential losses related to pulp and paper mill operations.

Key qualifications include:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Relevant years of experience in risk management or insurance within the pulp and paper industry.
  • Strong understanding of engineering risks and insurance principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
