The role of a Business Development Manager is pivotal in driving new business growth. It involves identifying opportunities, generating leads, and securing new accounts through proactive efforts and building strong relationships with clients and businesses.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing a partnership strategy aligned with the company's objectives.
- Serving as the primary liaison for partners to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key partners, vendors, and channels to facilitate successful collaboration.
- Providing training, support, and resources to enable partners to effectively sell and support the company's products.
- Setting and monitoring performance metrics for partnership activities, including revenue targets, market penetration, and partner satisfaction.
This includes developing and managing a channel program to drive sales through partners and resellers, particularly in international markets. The ideal candidate should be able to generate new business opportunities locally and internationally to fuel the sales pipeline. Regular travel, both domestic and international, is expected.
Candidates will work closely with marketing teams to execute partnership initiatives and collaborate with product development teams to enhance consumer experiences. Representing the company at industry events, conferences, and meetings with key partners is also an essential aspect of this role.
Requirements:
Tertiary education in relevant disciplines.
At least 8 years of experience in business development, partnership, and channel management within the technology/software industry.
Excellent communication skills to connect with international clients.
Regional experience is preferred.
High energy, a go-getter attitude, and positivity.
