Marine Operations Support Specialist About the Role:

The Marine Operations Support Specialist plays a vital role in supporting daily marine operations. Responsibilities include transporting equipment, managing vehicle expenses, and ensuring vehicles are well-maintained.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Transportation of tools and ship equipment from workshops to designated areas
  • Manage company lorry expenses within allocated resources
  • Assist in marine operations onboard and in workshops
  • Report defects or poor conditions of equipment
  • Resolve onboard malfunctions, rectify safety systems, and perform repairs as needed
  • Prepare and execute work assignments promptly
  • Liaise with vessel agencies to ensure performance meets expectations
  • Generate service reports, Job Delivery Notes, and other relevant documents
  • Assist the sales department with technical issues
Critical Service Scope:
  • Lifeboat, rescue boat, davit, and release gear inspection and servicing
  • Fire Fighting Equipment annual service and inspection
  • ODME/OWS/Fixed Gas Detection or Sampling System/UTI/Portable multi-gas detector/pressure gauge/temperature gauge annual calibration and other automation services
  • Sample collection for Drug and Alcohol Test, Fresh water or drink water analysis
  • Cargo crane/Provision crane/Accommodation ladder/Pilot ladder load test
  • Flexible cargo hoses, piping lines pressure test
Requirements:
  • GCE "O"/ NITEC in relevant fields or higher education
  • Singapore Class 3 license and prior driving experience
  • Experience as a marine technician/engineer or similar role in a Marine background is an asset
  • Meticulous approach to service jobs and report generation
  • Self-driven attitude to find solutions to problems
  • A team player with effective communication skills
  • Willingsness to learn new skills and knowledge
