Job Title: Marine Operations Specialist

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Marine Operations Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and management of technical documentation, reports, and records related to vessel operations.

They will also support the Technical Manager/Superintendent in monitoring vessel maintenance, dry-docking, and repair schedules. Additionally, they will coordinate procurement of spare parts, equipment, and consumables for vessels in compliance with company policies.

The Marine Operations Specialist will ensure accurate record-keeping and timely updates of maintenance logs, safety reports, and regulatory compliance documentation. They will also assist in tracking and updating vessel certificates, inspections, and class approvals.

Liaising with suppliers, shipyards, and service providers to facilitate technical support and procurement is another key responsibility of this role.

Maintaining a database of spare parts and inventory for efficient stock management is also an essential task.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree/Diploma in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Naval Architecture, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a similar role within the maritime, shipping, or offshore industry.
  • Familiarity with vessel operations, maintenance schedules, and classification society requirements.
  • Proficiency in using fleet management software, ERP systems, and MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Effective communication and teamwork skills.
