Key Responsibilities

The Retail Manager, Travel Retail will be responsible for driving Retail Sales Excellence across all levels. This includes managing and leading a team on development, including promotional and merchandising activities related to a Duty-Free distribution channel and organization.

Gathering and providing feedback on competitors' and retailers' sales and activities to the Key Account Manager and other departments within Travel Retail is also a key aspect of this role.

Main Focus AreasRetail Sales/Excellence
  • Collaborate closely with retailers on retail-related matters to drive sell-out.
  • Monitor retail performance of newness and core lines.
  • Plan and implement goals and action plans to drive sell-out.
  • Implement suitable incentives to drive sell-outs in line with competition standards.
  • Identify potential risks and opportunities from itemized sales reports and make recommendations to the Key Account Manager.
  • Drive improvement in store ranking and market share of Coty brands (KPI).
  • Regularly update monthly sales reports via HUB/internal trackers in coordination with the Retail Sales Coordinator.
  • Identify potential space improvements at shopfloor or opportunities to improve retail sales performance.
  • Provide an in-depth monthly analysis of the market to the Key Account Manager and other departments within Travel Retail.
Merchandising Excellence
  • Work with the Retail Sales Coordinator to ensure merchandising excellence in all stores.
  • Work closely with DP on the fulfillment rate of non-sellables.
  • Nurture strong business partnerships with the shopfloor team.
  • Partner with the marketing and merchandising team to put forward recommendations.
  • Share competitor insights and propose actions to maximize sales and brand visibility.
  • Conduct regular TRIP CHECKS for key markets.
Beauty Advisor & Coordinator Management
  • Oversee Retail Sales Specialists on the leadership and development of Beauty Advisor Teams.
  • Create positive synergy within the team, ensure the best mindset, and lead by example.
  • Communicate sales targets to Beauty Advisors, sales achievement, and ensure targets are met monthly.
  • Conduct regular reviews with Retail Sales Specialists to monitor Beauty Advisor monthly sales performance and examine ways to improve productivity.
  • Monitor and update the Beauty Advisor database according to business needs.
  • Uniform management in coordination with the Field Trainer.
  • Roster supervision.
Forecast & Inventory Control
  • Keep track of retailers' placement of orders and short shipment.
  • Work closely with KAM on product forecast.
  • Work closely with Omnichannel Manager on GWP/POS forecasts.
  • Maintain adequate inventory levels in retailers' doors, sellable stock, testers, promotional items, advertising materials, etc.
  • Provide feedback on sell-out, trends to help project and plan accurate forecasts.
  • Give ongoing feedback to Demand Planning Team on performance, promotions, and market trends.
Promotion Execution
  • Lead and ensure all planned promotions and elements are in place.
  • Prepare COMA deck for MPM Team for promotion execution.
  • Analyze and exploit all data on activity level of points of sale, on feedback of merchandising and promotional activities of Coty brands and competitors.
  • Provide weekly and monthly updates and follow-up on key information, promotion results, budgets, and costs to the Key Account Manager.
  • Manage budget and costs relating to retail.
  • Keep abreast of and provide information on competitor activities, making recommendations to boost sales.
