Job Description

The Senior Assistant Manager plays an instrumental role in providing operational support to Schools/Colleges on Appointment, Reappointment, Promotion, Tenure, and Exit Management processes for the faculty population. He/she will supervise and guide a team of HR Officers to support these operations at assigned Schools.

Responsibilities:
  • Supervise a team of HR Officers and oversee both administration and advisory support for effective HR operations in Faculty matters related to Appointment, Reappointment, Job Changes, Promotion, and Exit management.
  • Evaluate data accuracy in updates of all entries in HRIS including hire data, one-time payment, assigning costing allocations, and concurrent appointment updates completed by team members.
  • Coordinate activities supporting University level meetings related to Faculty Appointment, Reappointment, and Promotion.
  • Ensure tasks and enquiries undertaken are resolved and completed in a timely manner according to Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Improve processes and procedures to ensure high standards of service and work quality, efficiency, and governance.
  • Drive and/or participate in projects and process reviews.
  • Collaborate and build working relationships with stakeholders within the University.
