About the Group Finance Department
Group Finance plays a pivotal role in governance and value creation, supporting UOB's performance and strategic goals. We are tasked with financial, regulatory, and performance reporting for the UOB Group, ensuring proper oversight and control over the Bank's resources. Additionally, we provide insights to senior management and business units, enhancing decision-making processes to achieve optimal financial outcomes for our stakeholders.
Financial Information Management (FIM), Group Finance
The Financial Information Management (FIM) team is responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the Bank's financial systems. We collaborate with stakeholders and technology specialists to implement solutions that foster UOB's growth while safeguarding and enhancing the value of Group Finance through optimized system utilization and a controlled financial architecture.
Key Responsibilities
As a member of the Financial Information Management (FIM) team within Group Finance, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Collecting and documenting user requirements
- Evaluating the functional impact of modifications to financial applications
- Analyzing user configuration setups necessary for application adjustments
- Reviewing functional designs to ensure alignment with business requirements
- Overseeing end-to-end User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, including defining test strategies, preparing test scripts, executing UAT, analyzing results, and ensuring resolution of reported issues
- Transitioning projects to production support teams with comprehensive documentation and training
- Assisting in the resolution of post-implementation issues during the warranty phase
Job Requirements
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent professional qualifications
- 6-10 years of experience as a Business Analyst within the Financial Services sector
- Demonstrated business analysis expertise, including requirements gathering, documentation, and UAT strategy development
- Strong data skills, including data mapping, querying, and analysis
- Analytical mindset with a focus on system-related tasks
- Previous experience in business analysis for Trade Finance, Financial Accounting, Financial and Regulatory Reporting, or Performance Management reporting is advantageous
- Proven ability to engage with various management levels
- Self-motivated, resilient, and resourceful
- Excellent organizational capabilities
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
