Group Finance
The Group Finance division plays a crucial role in governance and value addition, supporting UOB's strategic goals. This department is tasked with the financial, regulatory, and performance reporting for the UOB Group, ensuring robust oversight and control over the Bank's resources while providing valuable insights to senior management for informed decision-making.
Financial Information Management (FIM), Group Finance
The Financial Information Management team is pivotal in steering the strategic direction of the Bank's financial systems. Collaborating with stakeholders and technology specialists, FIM aims to enhance the value of Group Finance through optimized system usage and the implementation of a controlled financial architecture.
Key Responsibilities
As a member of the Financial Information Management team within Group Finance, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Assessing the technological and operational requirements for Financial and Regulatory reporting functions.
- Collaborating with Finance users to gather and analyze requirements, identifying areas for enhancement and translating business needs into functional specifications.
- Acting as a liaison with the Technology team to deliver comprehensive solutions that effectively meet user needs.
- Overseeing project implementation, ensuring adherence to key milestones and timelines while proactively addressing and resolving issues.
- Coordinating User Acceptance Testing with users and collaborating with vendors to establish necessary testing environments.
- Reviewing and addressing post-implementation challenges, identifying opportunities for improvement in delivery.
Job Requirements
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or equivalent professional qualifications.
- Familiarity with Performance Measurement, Financial Reporting, IFRS9, and Basel III application systems.
- A strong aptitude for system-related tasks, with experience in end-user maintenance, requirements gathering, UAT testing, and IT system implementation.
- A minimum of 7 years of experience in the banking sector, with a solid understanding of current accounting policies and banking regulations.
- Excellent analytical and presentation skills, demonstrating initiative and effective leadership capabilities.
- A collaborative team player with strong communication and interpersonal skills.
