Senior Vice President/First Vice President, Trade and Financial Supply Chain Management

About the Role
The Trade & FSCM Sales role at United Overseas Bank is a dynamic position that requires a strong understanding of trade finance and financial supply chain management solutions. As a Senior Vice President/First Vice President, Trade and Financial Supply Chain Management, you will be responsible for driving, structuring, and delivering trade solutions to help clients address working capital, balance sheet, and risk management objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- Identify potential and targeted trade customers and provide trade advisory/structuring solutions to help them achieve their business objectives.
- Develop and maintain close relationships with existing and target customers to understand their business and banking requirements.
- Collaborate with Relationship Managers, Sector Solution, and Trade Sales teams to design and position trade solutions to clients.
- Formulate and articulate regional trade & FSCM solutions to potential corporate customers.
- Own the end-to-end trade sales process from opportunity identification to deal implementation.
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs) and Requests for Proposals (RFPs) for Trade services & FSCM.
- Lead deal origination and collaborate with Relationship Managers, Trade Product Management, and Sales Managers to win Trade & FSCM mandates/deals.
- Achieve or exceed revenue, operating contribution targets, and key performance indicator targets.
Requirements
- Holder of a University Degree from a recognized University.
- Relevant transaction banking experience in sales positions focusing on Trade Finance and FSCM.
- Conversant in documentary trade and open account trade services and financing, both at the domestic and regional level.
- Good working knowledge of working capital solutions and ability to articulate value propositions from a working capital perspective.
- Possess working knowledge of electronic banking delivery, Host-to-Host solutions, ERP, etc.
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, with strong negotiation and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent presentation skills.
- Must be highly motivated and possess good initiative. Must be a good team player with strong collaborative skills.
