Senior Vice President/ Vice President, Credit Process Expert

About the Role
DBS Bank is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our Group Audit team as a Senior Vice President/ Vice President, Credit Process Expert. This role is responsible for conducting credit process audits of Corporate Banking, Private Banking, and International Branches, ensuring the effectiveness of risk management, control, and governance processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough credit process audits, including review of AML/CFT & Sanctions-related processes, to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
- Plan and coordinate end-to-end audits, working closely with Credit Risk Review & GTS audit teams to ensure thoroughness and efficiency.
- Evaluate control design and operating effectiveness of control processes, identifying areas for improvement.
- Develop and implement rule-based analytics to enhance planning and testing efficiency.
- Escalate issues timely and ensure concise, clear audit findings and reports are presented.
- Complete audits effectively and within established timelines, performing continuous monitoring and auditing of business and support units.
- Support the Team Manager in preparing quarterly updates to Audit Committee.
- Review cross-border aspects of IBG business, including marketing, regulatory, finance, regional systems, and processes.
- Contribute to the development of the team's data-driven operating model, focusing on dynamic risk assessment, audit planning, and testing.
Requirements
- Minimum 15 years (SVP) / 10 years (VP) of relevant auditing/credit control/credit risk management/operational risk/AML experience.
- Strong understanding of credit processes, credit risk management practices, and controls, with knowledge of AML risk and controls in the financial services industry.
- Ability to work effectively with multiple priorities, determining the most appropriate solution based on organizational and stakeholder needs.
- Excellent oral and written articulation, negotiation, and presentation skills.
