As a key member of the commercial team, the Subsea Commercial Development Manager will play a vital role in driving the growth and success of our subsea services and diving systems portfolio.

The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in offshore subsea projects, excellent business acumen, and a proven track record of delivering commercial results within defined strategic parameters.

Key Responsibilities:

Commercial Execution & Support

  • Support the implementation of commercial strategies in line with overall business objectives, ensuring alignment with business and operational goals.
  • Coordinate and prepare proposals, bids, and tender submissions for offshore subsea and diving-related projects, leveraging market trends and competitor analysis to inform decision-making.
  • Assist in reviewing and negotiating contracts, including terms and pricing, under guidance from the Commercial Director, ensuring optimal contract compliance and profitability across awarded projects.
  • Monitor contract compliance, cost control, and profitability across awarded projects, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Develop pricing models and financial analysis to support commercial decisions, providing data-driven insights to inform business development activities.

Market & Client Engagement

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with key clients, partners, and vendors, fostering a culture of collaboration and mutual understanding.
  • Attend client meetings, conferences, and presentations to represent the company and support business development activities, effectively communicating commercial value propositions and solutions.
  • Monitor market trends and identify potential opportunities in coordination with the Commercial Director, staying ahead of competitors and capitalizing on emerging markets.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work closely with internal departments including Engineering, Projects, and Operations to ensure bid and project alignment, streamlining processes and eliminating bottlenecks.
  • Foster knowledge sharing between business units to strengthen commercial competitiveness, promoting a culture of innovation and continuous improvement.
  • Track and report on commercial KPIs and pipeline performance, providing actionable insights to inform business strategy and drive results.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Mechanical/Civil) or related discipline.

Minimum 10 years of experience in commercial or business development roles within offshore subsea construction, underwater contracting, or SURF/subsea operations.

Experience in preparing tender packages, managing client accounts, and supporting contract negotiations.
