Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Program Manager I to join our team at Ultra Clean Asia Pacific. As a key member of our supply chain team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of materials and inventory management across our operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with planners to maintain visibility of current and future material issues
  • Coordinate demand signals through MRP to minimize inventory exposure and optimize supply chain efficiency
  • Develop and implement category strategies with category managers to meet site and customer requirements
  • Identify and recommend solutions to gaps in inventory management and supplier performance
  • Manage and maintain inventory programs, including VOI, JIT, and discrete orders, to drive lead-time reduction and improve inventory turns
  • Review and analyze monthly reports from suppliers to ensure parts status and program execution
  • Resolve gaps between programs and supplier execution to ensure timely delivery of materials
  • Recommend risk buy or consignment strategies to minimize inventory liability and improve cash flow
  • Assess and present solutions for burst demand requests from customers, considering BOM materials lead-times, chronic suppliers, and customer-managed allocations
  • Align with category managers and supply chain program managers to localize or regionalize OEM and BTP parts
  • Lead internal tiger teams to drive supplier long-term issues and improve supplier performance
  • Provide inputs to engineering and SCM in supplier selection and assessment
  • Analyze system need dates, supplier commitments, and current production status to identify critical material issues and lead clear-to-build (CTB) for production build phases
  • Set up and lead material supplier escalation meetings for critical shortages, identify root causes, and develop recovery plans
  • Track KPIs and generate reports, metrics, and presentations to support business decisions
  • Support customer reports and ad-hoc requirements, including materials health reports and executive reports
  • Work with engineering and AO to develop roadmaps for the phase-out of obsolete parts and phase-in of new product materials directed by customer
  • Be the focal point of communication with customers for materials-related issues and attend customer meetings
  • Act as a second-level escalation point for supplier management issues after the category lead
Requirements
  • Strong purchasing knowledge, including processes, tools, and practices
  • Good data analysis capability to identify issues, develop solutions, and implement changes
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams
  • Strong understanding of the Clear To Build report and MRP system functionality
  • Degree in Supply Chain Management or equivalent
  • Minimum 6-8 years' experience in manufacturing industry, with prior experience in leading a team preferred
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities
