Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Manufacturing Engineering Manager to lead our New Product Manufacturing Engineering team at Applied Materials. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of new manufacturing technologies, products, and business processes, ensuring that our products meet the highest quality and performance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of engineers in the development and implementation of new manufacturing technologies, products, and business processes.
  • Ensure that all projects and programs are completed in accordance with predetermined requirements, with specific attention to product/process specifications, project/program costs, resource utilization, and timeliness for completion.
  • Establish and manage departmental budgets and spending requirements, ensuring that financial resources are utilized effectively to achieve maximum productivity.
  • Effectively assign work to subordinate staff, providing for professional development and coaching.
  • Spearhead research and development of new manufacturing technologies, products, and business processes, ensuring that newly created processes, designs, and/or methodologies are incorporated into Applied Materials products and/or disseminated to other business units and segments as needed.
  • Utilize common engineering technology and software packages for optimization of design development activities and timelines to ensure rapid commercialization.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field.
  • 7-10 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, with a strong background in new product development and implementation.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with experience in leading cross-functional teams.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to guide, influence, and persuade others internally and externally.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve technical, operational, and organizational problems.
