Materials Planning Manager, Supply Chain Optimization

About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Materials Planning Manager to join our team at Carrier. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for managing a team of intermediate or experienced professionals in Materials Planning and SIOP.

Your primary focus will be on executing operational plans that include storing and shipping of products, warehouse management, customer service, and ensuring quality of work. You will also lead in the development of inventory control reports and manuals.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a team of intermediate or experienced professionals and set short-term operational plans for the team.
  • Assist the General Manager/Sales in inventory, backlog, and orders/sales forecasting management.
  • Work with customer service associates to resolve customer complaints/requirements, and provide recommendations for possible solutions.
  • Lead in the establishment of plans and maintaining data for purchased parts, subassemblies, end items, and other parts as required.
  • Spearhead the development of the capacity management process, including identification of capacity gaps to ensure successful execution of customer demands in support of SIOP.
  • Lead in the establishment of continuous management for the master demand schedule, including adherence to required validations using the best information available.
  • Responsible for the transportation and delivery of inter/intra-plant parts and outbound finished products.
  • Oversee tracking of inter/intra-plant work in process (WIP), promise dating, and expedite orders to ensure on-time delivery and flow.
  • Manage warehousing operations, including monitoring tracking and shipping processes.
  • Lead in the development of plans to minimize risks for shortages and ensure successful customer delivery.
  • Perform other duties as assigned in other work areas.
Requirements

We are looking for individuals with good knowledge of SAP and Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel. A minimum of 10 years of relevant working experience in customer services, warehousing, supply chain, and related industries is preferred.

Candidates should possess good analytical, problem-solving, interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills. They should be able to work independently and handle assignments in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

A proven record of successfully leading and improving business processes in an international matrix environment is essential. A broad knowledge and skills within a specific technical or professional discipline, with an understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization, is also required.

A university degree or equivalent experience is necessary.
