Business Development Manager

Role Overview
The Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU) is seeking a skilled Business Development Manager to drive growth in Singapore. As the research and analysis division of The Economist Group, EIU provides high-quality intelligence to the public and private sector. This exciting role will focus on selling EICN memberships to senior-level executives of international firms and local MNCs, as well as exploring other revenue opportunities in the territory.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute an aggressive new members acquisition plan in Singapore, working closely with the Sales Director and Editorial Director.
- Meet and exceed revenue and renewal targets in the region, building a strong pipeline of new client opportunities.
- Manage the sales cycle from prospecting to closing, ensuring the right level and number of participants attend member events.
- Act as a trustworthy and reliable Economist Group brand ambassador, driving market penetration and growth.
Requirements
- Relevant years of B2B sales experience, preferably in content-related solutions.
- High degree of refinement and sophistication when communicating, with native or near-native English skills.
- Ability to build and maintain trusted partner relationships at the highest level (C-suite/executive).
- Intellectual curiosity and an interest in international business and current affairs.
