The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring an exceptional guest experience, efficient service, and high profitability.
This key position oversees daily restaurant operations, leading the front-of-house team and supporting the back-of-house staff.
- Operations Management: Supervise daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
- Supervise Daily Operations: Ensure smooth service flow and address any operational issues promptly.
- Maintain Cleanliness: Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall appearance of the restaurant.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels; coordinate ordering and supplier relationships.
- Compliance: Oversee compliance with food safety, health, and hygiene regulations.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, schedule, and manage restaurant staff (waitstaff, bartenders, hosts, etc.).
- Conduct Performance Evaluations: Conduct regular performance evaluations and staff meetings.
- Build Team Culture: Build a positive, team-oriented work culture.
- Address Employee Concerns: Address and resolve employee concerns professionally.
- Guest Relations: Maintain a strong presence on the floor to engage with guests.
- Handle Guest Feedback: Handle guest feedback, complaints, and special requests with a customer-first approach.
- Hospitality Standards: Ensure a consistent high standard of hospitality and service.
- Financial Management: Manage budgets, payroll, and cost control measures.
- Analyse Sales Reports: Analyse sales and labour reports to maximize profitability.
- Marketing Support: Assist with the creation and execution of promotions and upselling initiatives.
- Leadership Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Operational Knowledge: Solid understanding of restaurant operational procedures and financial management.
- Familiarity with Technology: Familiarity with POS systems, reservation software, and basic HR practices.
- Passion for Hospitality: Passion for hospitality and customer service excellence.
- Degree in Hospitality: Diploma or Degree in Hospitality, Business Management, or related field.
- Certification in Food Safety: Certification in Food Safety Management.
- Experience in Upscale Dining: Experience in upscale casual or fine dining settings (if applicable).
