About the Department
The Retail division is dedicated to delivering tailored financial solutions to both Personal and Business Banking clients. We empower our customers to manage their finances effectively and achieve their financial objectives through a comprehensive array of products and services, including deposits, insurance, secured and unsecured loans, as well as investment and wealth advisory services.
Personal Financial Services Overview
Our focus is on designing and providing products and services that enhance banking convenience for our customers, enabling them to derive greater value from their finances. We are particularly committed to fostering and promoting healthy saving and investment habits across generations.
Key Responsibilities
This newly established role is essential for spearheading the Personal Financial Services (PFS) Marketing function at a regional level. It plays a pivotal role in broadening our marketing perspective beyond Singapore, aligning with our growth ambitions across ASEAN, particularly following UOB's acquisition of Citibank's retail operations in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
The position will report directly to the Head of Regional Marketing Strategy and Martech for PFS and will be situated in Singapore.
• The incumbent will oversee the implementation of synergies and efficiencies across all six PFS markets: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
The strategic alignments will focus on:
• Developing marketing positioning and strategies for shared products and services.
• Enhancing Digital Marketing and Performance Marketing initiatives.
• Ensuring alignment of Brand Corporate Identity and Tone of Voice.
• Reporting on the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
• Collaborating with the broader PFS marketing team in Singapore and the marketing leaders in each regional market.
• Implementing marketing best practices across all markets.
• Adhering to established marketing guidelines.
• Optimizing the use of marketing technology across all regions.
• Maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of third-party agencies (creative and media).
• Standardizing marketing processes and practices to ensure a strong return on investment for marketing expenditures.
These responsibilities will be fulfilled through a deep understanding of key business drivers, insightful consumer insights, strong organizational skills, and a customer-centric approach. Successful execution will largely depend on guiding marketing colleagues and fostering trust and engagement with in-country marketing teams.
Job Requirements
• 6-8 years of experience in a marketing role.
• Ability to think strategically while executing end-to-end processes directly and through local in-country marketing teams.
• Strong understanding of marketing strategy.
• Experience in financial services or media agency preferred.
• Proven track record in a marketing role, managing agencies and internal stakeholders.
• Regional experience is preferred.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to connect with multiple stakeholders effectively.
