Department Overview

The Retail division is dedicated to providing tailored financial solutions for both Personal and Business Banking clients. Our mission is to assist customers in managing their finances effectively and achieving their financial aspirations through a comprehensive array of products and services, including deposits, insurance, loans, and investment advisory.

Role Overview

This newly established position is pivotal in steering the Personal Financial Services (PFS) Marketing function at a regional scale. The incumbent will play a crucial role in broadening the marketing scope beyond Singapore, particularly in light of UOB's strategic growth initiatives across ASEAN, including the integration of Citibank's retail operations in Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive the implementation of synergies and efficiencies across the six PFS markets: Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Vietnam.
  • Develop and align marketing positioning and strategies for shared products and services.
  • Oversee Digital Marketing and Performance Marketing initiatives.
  • Ensure consistency in Brand Corporate Identity and Tone of Voice across all markets.
  • Analyze and report on the effectiveness of marketing efforts.
  • Collaborate with the broader PFS marketing team in Singapore and regional marketing heads.
  • Implement marketing best practices and adhere to established guidelines.
  • Optimize the use of marketing technology and maximize the efficiency of third-party agencies.
  • Standardize marketing processes to enhance return on investment.

Achieving these objectives will require a deep understanding of key business drivers, consumer insights, and strong organizational skills, with a focus on customer engagement and collaboration with in-country marketing teams.

Qualifications

  • 6-8 years of experience in a marketing role.
  • Ability to think strategically while executing initiatives directly and through local teams.
  • Strong understanding of marketing strategy.
  • Experience in financial services or media agency preferred.
  • Proven track record in managing agencies and internal partnerships.
  • Regional experience is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Capacity to engage and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
