Job Summary:
The role of an Engineering Officer is crucial in the operation and maintenance of tug equipment.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintenance of engine room and deck machinery to ensure optimal performance.
  • Bunkering and monitoring fuel/oil consumption for efficient operations.
  • Minor repairs and prompt reporting of breakdowns to minimize downtime.
  • Collaboration with technicians during repairs and regular maintenance schedules.
  • Ensuring timely greasing and maintenance of machinery and equipment for smooth operations.
  • Effective handling of towlines/tow winch and equipment during operations.
  • Cleaning and maintenance work on the tug, deck, and engine room to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Performing lookout duties as required and ensuring the safe securing of the tug moored alongside.
  • Regular checking of life-saving apparatus and appliances for safety compliance.
  • Participating in fire-fighting duties to ensure the well-being of crew members.

Requirements:
The ideal candidate must hold a valid Port Limit Engine Driver (2nd Class) licence and be willing to perform shift work for flexibility.
