Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Affairs Director to lead our team in Southeast and South Asia. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for building and maintaining relationships with external healthcare professionals, communicating evidence-based scientific and technical information, and developing local medical affairs plans.

Key Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Team Management
    • Lead a team of Medical Science Liaisons (MSLs) to achieve business objectives
    • Develop and execute local medical affairs plans in alignment with global medical affairs plans and local business objectives
  • Relationship Building and Communication
    • Build and maintain relationships with scientific thought leaders in the region
    • Communicate evidence-based scientific and technical information to external healthcare professionals
  • Knowledge Management and Content Development
    • Act as a subject matter expert for internal and external stakeholders
    • Develop and maintain accurate and up-to-date knowledge on Grifols Biopharma products
    • Provide medical content for medical education programs
  • Event Management and Scientific Meetings
    • Manage scientific events such as regional advisory boards and other scientific meetings
    • Provide reports from these meetings for internal stakeholders
  • Medical Enquiries and Response
    • Provide scientific responses to medical enquiries from internal and external customers
  • Regional Representation and Budget Management
    • Represent Grifols Asia Pacific Pte. Ltd. at strategic meetings and medical affairs meetings
    • Manage budget and ensure compliance with Grifols processes and regulations
Requirements
  • Education
    • PhD, MD, or Pharm D with advanced knowledge in the respective scientific field(s)
  • Experience
    • At least 7 years of experience in a similar regional Medical Affairs position in the pharma industry
  • Skills
    • Expert knowledge of medical/pharmaceutical basics with highest ethical standards
    • Scientific understanding (literature, clinical and basic research)
    • Experience managing a team and working with 3rd party contractors
    • Strategic thinking and influence
    • Advanced communication and relationship building skills
    • Presentation skills
    • Good English language skills (spoken and written)
