This is a key position within Kuok Group, supporting the commercial operations of PaxOcean Singapore yard.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute commercial strategies to drive revenue and margin growth for ship repairs and conversions.
  • Manage customer inquiries and quotations, ensuring timely and accurate responses.
  • Supervise a team of estimators and commercial invoicing officers, ensuring they meet performance expectations.
  • Negotiate contracts and projects with customers and agents, ensuring optimal terms and conditions.
  • Provide client management support at the Singapore yard, as required, and submit regular reports.
  • Collaborate with the Yard Operations team to optimize vessel types and scopes of work, maximizing yard utilization.
  • Ensure internal stakeholders adhere to contractual obligations and identify process improvements.
  • Assess risks and make recommendations to mitigate potential issues.
  • Support the management of Change, including negotiation and settlement of Change/Variation Orders with clients.
  • Review and refine commercial management procedures and policies, providing constructive feedback.
  • Requirements:
    • Bachelor's degree in Business or Engineering, or Diploma with relevant experience.
    • Minimum 8 years of commercial experience in a shipyard, including estimation and invoicing.
    • Team management experience.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
    • Familiarity with Salesforce and/or Power BI.
